I’ve yet to meet a woman who took the decision to divorce lightly. It just doesn’t happen that way. And now that you are on the other side, you are staring at a blank canvas but what you need to know is that you have the tools to paint a picture you love. You might just need some help.
You are still curious. You are a learner. You are willing. The only thing missing is the time you haven’t yet given yourself to figure it all out with strength, clear intention, and someone who can walk with you through it.
Most women move forward from divorce making choices from fear — protecting themselves, contracting their life as though somehow not having a partner means they don’t get to keep dreaming, expanding and growing their life to be what they want it to be. This works, in the sense that you survive it. But surviving isn't the same as building a life you actually want.
There is another way forward. A way that lands you in a different spot.
You don’t go around the fear and insecurity, you go through it and work with it. You don’t resist it, you allow it in. You let it inform you, but not guide you. Because instead, what guides you is strength, confidence, the real you - perhaps a part of you who you haven’t listened to in a very long time.
